Professional and Personal History: Dr. Martin brings a diverse background to his practice. A Massachusetts native who was his high school’s class valedictorian, he attended Clark University on a full, academic scholarship. His prior career as a professional chef inspires his nutritional counseling. When he decided to become a naturopathic doctor, he took the pre-medical curriculum at Northeastern University. During that time he was involved as a Hospice Care volunteer and began Transcendental Meditation. Dr. Martin earned his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University (www.bastyr.edu). Leading the field in education, research and publication, Bastyr University is further distinguished by it clinical training facility, The Bastyr Center for Natural Health. At university, he assisted in a research project that later received an NIH grant of nearly one million dollars. He is a board certified and licensed ND. For many years he practiced in Washington, DC before returning to Boston. He has media exposure on the radio, television and national newspapers as an expert on natural medicine. He enjoys the fine arts, reading and gardening in his free time.

Professional Training: Deepak Chopra, Louise Hay, Bernie Siegel and Elisabeth Kubler-Ross are some of the many doctors and healers with whom he has studied. Dr. Martin has additional training and certification in homeopathy, psychological counseling, guided imagery and family practice medicine.

Philosophy: Natural medicine is what we create when we go back to our nutritional, emotional and lifestyle choices and select those things that in their natural, simplest form help us to live, act and feel our best.
